Description: The CoreAlign is a unique piece of rehabilitation equipment designed to
train whole-body movement in functional positions which is often used in both Physical
Therapy clinics as well as Pilates studios. The CoreAlign focuses on improving postural
control and coordination by engaging core connections. The CoreAlign allows for a wide
variety of exercises which can be tailored for patient needs and goals. It was created by
physical therapist, Jonathan Hoffman, BPT, Grad Dip Manip Ther, in 2005. This
workshop will cover use of the CoreAlign in a physical therapy setting.

This course is the foundation course for clinicians interested in learning how to use the reformer in an allied health setting. Participants will learn the entire Reformer 1 repertoire as well as clinical applications. Case examples are used to facilitate application of the exercises in a patient-centric manner. Taught by Lindy Royer, PT and Rhondi Miller, PT.

This workshop is the quintessential workshop for physical therapists and other allied health professionals to be introduced to the essentials of Pilates, both on the mat and reformer. After this workshop, participants will understand how to find deep core engagement as well as the vital connections between the core and the limbs. This will enable the practitioner to activate the reformer in the clinic with greater success and confidence.

This workshop is for those who already have some Pilates experience, whether you are a Pilates teacher or a health professional.
This workshop begins with an in-depth anatomy review, focusing on the inner and outer units of the core and other important contributing structures. By participating in this workshop, participants will enhance their proficiency in guiding clients to engage their deep core both in isolated and integrated ways. Mastering effective deep core connections help minimize strain that can occur with higher-level Pilates exercises. Reformer-based exercises will be emphasized. Will apply for MN Board of Physical Therapy CECs.
